Community Responsibility
At Prism we recognise that businesses have a responsibility to society and the communities in which they operate. Prism is committed to integrating social responsibility and sustainability across its activities – from the advice we provide clients, to investing in communities.
Our aim, first and foremost, is to provide good corporate governance advice to our clients and encourage them to take an holistic approach to their CSR practices, whilst recognising that each industry has its own particular issues.
Consistent with our value of following high ethical standards and recognising that the profits of even well run businesses do not reach the most vulnerable in society, at Prism we support three charities that give practical and sustainable assistance to those facing and living in poverty and hardship both in the UK and overseas.
Prism’s support for these charities takes the form of financial donations, active participation and interest in their charitable activities:
• Tearfund - provides professional expertise in development, disaster response, disaster risk reduction and advocacy.
• Christians Against Poverty - is a national debt counselling charity with a network of advice centres based in local churches.
• Habitat for Humanity- believes that enabling everyone to have a safe, decent place to live is catalytic in breaking the cycle of poverty.
